Tremendum is a Scripture-based devotional app published by Albertus Benjamin Eksteen. This policy explains, in plain terms, what the app does and does not do with your information. It describes the app as it exists today; when the app adds accounts and subscriptions, this policy will be updated before those features ship.
Tremendum does not ask who you are. It has no sign-up, no login, and no user accounts. It does not collect your name, email, or contacts. Your reading progress is stored only on your own device. We do not track you, and we do not sell or share personal information — because we do not collect it.
As you move through a devotional, the app records which days you have completed and when, so it can pace the journey and keep completed days open to you. This stays on your phone, is not sent to us, and is removed if you delete the app.
To show you the readings, the app requests devotional content — the daily Scripture, readings, and prompts — from our content service (hosted by Supabase). These requests fetch published devotional material only, and are made anonymously: they carry no identifier for you. Standard server logs kept by our hosting provider may record basic technical data such as an IP address for security and reliability; we do not use it to identify you.
Where the app offers a journal prompt, anything you write stays on your device. Journaled reflections are not transmitted to us or stored on our servers.
If certain words suggesting a crisis are detected in text you enter, the app shows a support screen with the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. This check runs entirely on your device; the text you typed is not sent anywhere as part of it. If you choose to call or text 988, that connection is handled by your phone and carrier, under the Lifeline's own policies.
Tremendum is intended for adults. It is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone.
The app contains no third-party advertising and no advertising trackers. During this beta it contains no third-party analytics SDKs.
If you use Tremendum through Apple's TestFlight, Apple collects certain information about your beta use — such as crash and basic usage data — under Apple's own privacy policy, separate from this one.
We will update this policy as the app changes — in particular before adding accounts, subscriptions, or community features. Material changes will be reflected here with a new date.
